Sharon Long recognized as Volunteer of a Lifetime!

The Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County presented Sharon Long with the Volunteer of a Lifetime Award for 2024, at their recent Winter Social in Watersound, Florida near 30A. The Winter Social was an artful holiday gathering presented by William Burns Wealth Management at the Watersound Village Market Cafe. The annual event celebrates the members and supporters of Cultural Art of Walton County as well as more than three decades of fostering creativity in the community!

Guests were invited to socialize in a lively atmosphere with fellow artists and art enthusiasts while enjoying live music from the Will Thompson Band, along with refreshments and a toast as they announced the top awards, including Volunteers of the Year, Arts Educator of the Year, Arts Partner of the Year, and more. Sharon was present for the ceremony and was delighted to receive the award. As one of the founding members and volunteers of Cultural Arts, Sharon has witnessed the organization’s growth and success while continuing to provide opportunities for local artists, art education, and the promotion of the arts in our community.
